Stefan Bradl had a third crash from in races as he slid out of Sunday’s Monster Energy Grand Prix de France, but had been suffering from visibility problems.
Amid the wet conditions of Le Mans, the LCR Honda MotoGP rider lost control on the exit of the Dunlop chicane as he visor continually misted up.
"My start was pretty good and I think that our pace was not so bad because we were able to race with the top group," the German began to explain. "Then during the race I could not see properly and had to open the visor many times. So for me it was a bit tough to do the perfect line and I crashed because I touched the white line.
"After that I was lucky because I was able to push again and do some acceptable lap times. Actually, we are back up to speed but we have some bad luck. In any case, we are fast in the dry and in the wet, so I am looking forward to Mugello which is one of my favourite race tracks."
Following the Grands Prix of Qatar, Americas, Spain and France, Bradl has tumbled to 11th place in the Riders’ Championship with 17 points to his name.
