Marquez pleased with 2014 Honda

Thursday, 20 June 2013

Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez only put in 13 laps on the 2014 RC213V Honda on the final day of Aragon testing today, yet already declared himself content with the machine.
Whilst the majority of his rivals had already made their way home after finishing their testing yesterday, Marquez put in a total of 73 laps at the track, 60 with his current machine, to continue his adaptation and development of the bike.
The Spaniard spoke positively about the 2014 machine, yet also confirmed that he would be sticking with his current RC213V this season, which he already considers extremely competitive.
The only other rider to keep him company was Randy de Puniet. The Frenchman completed a lengthy testing program with Suzuki, finishing about one second off Marquez’s time (1'48 .6 for the Spaniard, 1'49 .5 for De Puniet). The Suzuki testing program will continue throughout August at Motegi and then back in Europe with the official test in Misano and a private one at Mugello
